Inspired by years of development in football clothing, the collection referenced early sportswear circa 1900. Classic, subtle and durable design details were re-energised with 21st century materials including Britian Millerain’s signature Waxed Cotton, Japanese trimming specialist Shindo’s synthetic drawcords, RiRi’s finest fastenings and the Hong Kong Kung-Fu cult classic Lee Kung Man’s ultra fine Swiss cotton jerseys. The resulting range was contemporary, sophisticated and urban. Highly wearable and practical, especially made for modern men who demand exceptional quality in their active casual wear.
The name “Super Sunday” was borrowed from TV broadcaster Sky Sports’ flagship live football programme - Ford Super Sunday, showing Barclays Premier League football on most Sundays over the course of a season. Whether participating as players or as audience, the history of football and the fans are central to the making of this collection. The range are tailored for those who enjoy having a wonderful weekend.

The Speedo LZR Racer made waves in the world of sport, and Man Kit has stayed true to its sporting roots with his ‘Metamorphosis’ patchwork watershorts.
On the sporting influence behind the design he said: “The dedication of professional athletes is something I have always admired, and I was looking for a design element which demonstrated their discipline and commitment.”
Using this inspiration, Man Kit produced the Metamorphosis shorts from a patchwork featuring not only the Speedo LZR Racer, but pieces of other Speedo swimwear sourced from internet auction websites, echoing the brand’s commitment towards developing swimwear at all levels.
On working with the LZR Racer fabric, Man Kit said: “After making some stretch tests and recreating the pattern in paper, I decided to follow my instincts and cut up the swimsuit bit by bit, placing different panels onto my body. Eventually, the Speedo LZR Racer found its own way to be reborn into a new life.

Acknowledging the LZR Racer Swimsuit’s glory and taking inspiration from the dedicated life journeys of professional sportsmen, segments of old swimwear once worn by people of different age, were made into a geometric design of patchwork integrated with deconstructed panels of the LZR Racer swimsuit. Result was a pair of swim shorts made of 100% recycled material as the creative solution to the challenge. The design symbolises the collective hardship of becoming the best swimmer. It was selected by Speedo for exhibitions in Dubai and Hong Kong.
